St George

Builders in Narwee

St Anthony Building Group services Narwee, on the T8 line where St George meets Canterbury-Bankstown, for renovations, duplexes, granny flats and new homes. We are a licensed NSW builder (Contractor Licence 457054C).

Narwee, a small suburb on the T8

Narwee is one of the smaller suburbs we cover, built around Narwee Station on the T8 Airport & South Line. About half of its occupied homes were separate houses in the 2021 Census and close to three in ten were flats or apartments.

The station's Federation and inter-war buildings are a listed heritage item.

Local planning

Local planning notes for Narwee

Most of Narwee is in the City of Canterbury Bankstown rather than the Georges River Council area:

  • Canterbury-Bankstown majority: More than two thirds of the suburb is in the City of Canterbury Bankstown, under the Canterbury-Bankstown Local Environmental Plan 2023. Much of that land is zoned R3 Medium Density Residential.
  • Georges River minority: The remaining part is in the Georges River Council area, under the Georges River Local Environmental Plan 2021, mainly as R2 Low Density Residential.
  • Lodging: Whichever council covers your lot, development applications go in through the NSW Planning Portal.

Check your rates notice or look up your address on the NSW Planning Portal to see which plan applies.
