Kareela houses and reserves
Kareela is a small, mostly residential suburb running down to Oyster Bay. Close to nine in ten occupied homes were separate houses in the 2021 Census, with townhouses and semi-detached homes making up most of the remainder.
About a quarter of Kareela is public recreation land and reserve, and there is no railway station inside the suburb. Gymea and Jannali stations on the T4 line are each about a kilometre beyond its boundary.
